Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Steader. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. By using Steader's website or mobile application, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect the following types of personally identifiable information:

  • First and last name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Profile information you choose to share
  • Location data for marketplace functionality
  • Photos and media you upload to the platform

This list is subject to change based upon legal and business requirements.

Payment Information: Steader does not collect or store payment card information. All payment processing is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. When you make a purchase or set up a seller account, you provide payment information directly to Stripe through their secure interface. Steader only receives confirmation of successful transactions and basic transaction details necessary to operate the marketplace.

Note on Biometric Data: Steader does not collect, process, or retain any biometric information, including face data or facial recognition data. We do not use facial recognition technology in our platform. Any identity verification required for sellers is handled directly between sellers and Stripe, and face data is not retained after verification.

Please be aware that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Steader's public message boards or communication features, this information may be collected and used by others.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information when you:

  • Register for an account
  • List products or services

2.2 Seller Verification Information

When sellers set up their Stripe connected accounts to receive payments, Stripe may require identity verification to comply with financial regulations. This verification process occurs directly between the seller and Stripe.

What Steader Receives:

  • Confirmation that a seller has completed Stripe's verification process
  • Basic account status information

What Steader Does NOT Receive:

  • Identity documents
  • Facial recognition or biometric data
  • Financial documents
  • Any sensitive verification materials

All identity verification is handled entirely by Stripe according to their privacy policy. Steader has no access to the documents or information submitted during this process.

6. Tracking User Behavior

Steader may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within the platform in order to determine what services are the most popular. 7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

7.1 Sharing Information with Third Parties

Steader does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Steader may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (email, name, address, phone number) is not transferred to the third party.

Steader may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Steader, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Steader may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Protect and defend the rights or property of Steader

  • Steader never collects, processes, or stores payment card information
  • Sellers are responsible for their relationship with Stripe, including identity verification
  • Steader does not hold or control seller funds
  • Payment information is processed directly by Stripe according to their privacy policy
  • Steader receives only limited transaction information necessary to operate the marketplace (such as transaction amounts, dates, and confirmation of successful payments)
  • All payment disputes and chargebacks are handled directly between sellers and Stripe
